Inbox Management
Inbox management is the ongoing system — not the one-time cleanup — for handling incoming email: sorting what arrives, replying to what needs you, filing what doesn't, and chasing what went quiet. Done badly, it's a background process that runs all day and sets your priorities for you. Done well, it's two short passes a day.
AI has changed what "done well" costs. Automated triage does the sorting, smart folders do the filing, drafts in your voice do most of the replying, and follow-up tracking does the remembering — leaving the decisions, which were the only part that ever needed you. See AI inbox management for founders for the full picture, or inbox zero for the end state.
