Personal Knowledge Base

A personal knowledge base is a curated collection of your own documents, decisions, and facts — contracts, proposals, meeting notes, pricing, brand guidelines — that an AI assistant searches before answering. It's the difference between an AI that has read the internet and an AI that has read your internet.

Technically this works through retrieval-augmented generation: the assistant retrieves the relevant passages from your library and answers from them, with sources attached. In practice it's what makes every other assistant feature specific rather than generic — email drafts that know your terms, meeting prep that knows what you agreed last time, and instant answers to "what did we decide about X?". See how to build one your AI can actually use, or the Knowledge Base use case.
